ICEM Co-Sponsors L.A. Auto Show's Design Challenge
Los Angeles Design Studios Compete to Create the Environmentally Sustainable Vehicle of the Future
DETROIT, November 8, 2006: ICEM, a global supplier of automotive design software, is a co-sponsor of the Los Angeles Auto Show's Design Challenge which will culminate with the winning entry being unveiled on November 30 at the L.A. Auto Show.
Nine Los Angeles based design studios are competing in the Design Challenge which asks the teams to create two-dimensional renderings of an environmentally responsible vehicle, imagining a time when all vehicles will have the technology to allow people to enjoy the environment without harming it.
The Design Challenge entries will be judged for creative concept, contribution to the environment, degree of safety and reflection of the unique, spirited Southern California "green" lifestyle.
"ICEM is pleased to be a part of the Design Challenge," said Michael Check, General Manager of the Americas for ICEM. "We understand first hand the importance of creativity and innovation in automotive design. Creative designs are the ultimate success factor in drawing the consumer to the product in the marketplace. ICEM strives to provide the most comprehensive software toolset, which provides the designer with the most flexibility and enhances the creative process."
