Volvo Cars of North America Appoints Geno Effler, Vice President of Public Affairs

IRVINE, CA - November 5, 2006: Geno Effler comes to Volvo from Aston Martin North America, where he served as Manager of Brand Communications. In this role, he developed and executed several successful public relations and brand communications programs.

Geno brings to Volvo much depth and diversity in his professional portfolio. Prior to his tenure with Aston Martin, he served as Manager of Public Relations/West for Mercedes-Benz USA. Additionally, Geno has held lead public relations positions at Kia Motors America, the Oakland Invaders pro football team and Pacific Mutual Life Insurance Co. With almost 30 years of public relations and marketing communications accomplishments, Geno exudes strong competencies from both the corporate sector and the agency perspective.

Gino is a graduate of Cal State Fullerton and is a member of the Dean's Advisory Board for the College of Communications.
