Freescale Technology Forum 2007 Global Dates Scheduled
AUSTIN, Texas--Freescale Semiconductor today announced the global line-up for the Freescale Technology Forum (FTF), which has quickly become recognized as “the” developer event of the year for the embedded semiconductor industry.
The global dates and locations for the FTF 2007 program are:
- FTF Americas: June 25-28 in Orlando, Florida
- FTF Japan: Sept. 12 in Tokyo
- FTF EMEA: Oct. 9-10 in Paris and Oct. 16-17 in Munich
- FTF China: Nov. 6-7 in Shanghai
- FTF India: Nov. 19-20 in Bangalore
The Forum, which debuted in 2005, has been enthusiastically received by the global developer community, drawing more than 10,000 attendees at FTF events worldwide since its inception. FTF 2006 showed a marked increase in year-on-year attendance, with even more growth expected in 2007.
In addition to providing hundreds of hours of rich technical content and hands-on demonstrations, FTF gives attendees the “red carpet” treatment – one element of the success of the program. FTF also provides a unique opportunity to interact with the entire Freescale ecosystem. FTF attendees are able to spend time with executives, designers and applications engineers, industry-leading experts, and hardware, software and tools partners – as well as enjoy world-class entertainment and well-known speakers.
FTF delivers an atmosphere of innovation and collaboration that energizes attendees. “With a new technology like ZigBee™, it’s hard to know exactly where to go or where to turn,” said John Atkins, engineer and a FTF Americas attendee two years running. “We want to do a lot of the design ourselves, but we don’t want to become RF experts in the process. We’ve got to find out where the line is, what’s practical; and going to the sessions and listening and talking to other people gives us a better sense of what we could be doing."
