OMG Announces 88solutions Corporation as ORCA Member

NEEDHAM, Mass.--The Object Management Group™ (OMG™) today announced that 88solutions Corporation (http://www.88solutions.com/) is a member of the OMG Regulatory Compliance Alliance (ORCA™). Manfred R. Koethe, co-founder and CTO of 88solutions, is a key member of the development team for the Compliance Global Regulatory Information Database (C-GRID™) project.

Manfred R. Koethe is the co-founder and CTO of 88solutions Corporation. He has more than 25 years experience in complex information modeling and distributed environments. As an adjunct professor at Northeastern University, he teaches model-driven architecture and advanced software engineering to graduate students. He is also a member of the OMG Architecture Board.

One of ORCA’s most significant endeavors is the development of the Compliance Global Regulatory Information Database (C-GRID™), of which IBM (www.ibm.com) is a charter sponsor. The C-GRID is being developed as an open database of rules, regulations, standards, and government guidance documents that require IT action, and a survey of the regulatory climate around the world. The goal of this project is to provide the de facto compliance reference guide for global IT managers.
