Sprint Nextel is donating $10,000 to the "Safe Teen Georgia 07" program, which is an initiative created by the Safe America Foundation that will make training available to all 16-year olds to fulfill Department of Driver Services Mandate. The goal of this program is to train more than 20,000 teen drivers across the state of Georgia in 2007.

Atlanta Motor Speedway also has teamed up with the Safe America Foundation and the facility will serve as a training site for teens, parents, and driving instructors who wish to expedite their training. The speedway will hold the "Safe Teen Georgia Driving Academy" on Dec. 9, 2006 from 8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. EST. The cost for parent and teens to attend this fun and educational event, which will help fast-track the inclusion of public safety officials into the driver-education process, is only $50.
