2007 NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series Schedule Revised

Second Las Vegas Event to Remain on Last Weekend in October

GLENDORA, Calif. (Oct. 31, 2006) - NHRA and Las Vegas Motor Speedway
announced today that the 2007 ACDelco Las Vegas NHRA Nationals will
remain on the last weekend in October. Next year's event, which had
previously been scheduled for Oct. 18-21, will be held instead on Oct.
25-28. With the move, the final two races in the NHRA POWERade
Countdown to the Championship will be staged on back-to-back weekends.

"Coming on the heels of what was by far one of the most successful
events of the year, NHRA and Las Vegas Motor Speedway have jointly
agreed to keep the ACDelco Las Vegas NHRA Nationals on the last weekend
of October in 2007," said Tom Compton, president, NHRA. "We believe
this move will further establish this event as one of the largest and
fastest growing on the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series circuit."

By moving the ACDelco Las Vegas NHRA Nationals, it will generate
additional momentum for the inaugural year of the NHRA POWERade
Countdown to the Championship as the final two races of the season will
be run on back-to-back weekends.

As part of next year's Countdown, the ACDelco Las Vegas NHRA Nationals
marks the beginning of the "Countdown to One," when each of the four
professional categories will be reduced to the top four for the final
two races and the quest for the NHRA POWERade World Championship. The
week following the Las Vegas event, the Automobile Club of Southern
California NHRA Finals will be staged at Auto Club Raceway at Pomona,
Nov. 1-4.

Headquartered in Glendora, Calif., the NHRA is the primary sanctioning
body for the sport of drag racing in the United States. It presents 23
national events through its NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series. The NHRA
has 80,000 members nationwide and 140 member tracks. The
NHRA-sanctioned sportsman and bracket racing series provide competition
opportunities for drivers of all levels. The NHRA develops the stars of
tomorrow by offering the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series, NHRA Summit
Racing Series, NHRA Sony Xplod Sport Compact Racing Series and the NHRA
Street Legal Drags presented by AAA. The NHRA also offers the NHRA
O'Reilly Auto Parts Jr. Drag Racing League for youths ages 8 to 17.
