Baldor Electric Company Announces 4th Quarter 2006 Dividend

FORT SMITH, Ark., Oct. 31, 2006 -- Baldor Electric Company markets, designs, and manufactures industrial electric motors, drives, and generators and is based in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Baldor made the following announcements after the Company's Board of Directors' meeting on October 28, 2006.

Cash Dividend ... The Board of Directors declared a regular quarterly cash dividend of $0.17 per share on the Company's common stock. The cash dividend is payable on January 3, 2007, to shareholders of record on December 15, 2006.
