Nexiant™ Selected by Lear Corporation for Full-Service MRO Management Solution
IRVINE, Calif.--Nexiant, a leading provider of MRO inventory management solutions for the industrial market, today announced that it has been selected by Lear Corporation, a Fortune 500 company and one of the world’s largest suppliers of automotive interior systems and components, to provide a full-service MRO management program that includes its Smart Inventory Manager (SIM), Nexiant Secure and Nexiant Crib point-of-use (POU) technologies and onsite program management to improve MRO operations at Lear’s Iowa City plant.
Nexiant’s full-service contracts include software, hardware and professional services. The Iowa City plant will have a dedicated Nexiant onsite program manager that will assume responsibility for MRO inventory management functions including system and restock administration, training, maintenance and cost improvement management, which will allow Lear’s plant personnel to focus exclusively on their core business. The program manager will also oversee the implementation and integration of the POU technology with the Smart Inventory Manager (SIM) which will help standardize and reduce MRO material requirements.
“We are delighted to add Lear to our list of full-service customers,” said Anton Visser, president and chief executive officer of Nexiant. “With many industrial companies lacking the internal resources to manage the critical MRO function, Nexiant recognized the need for an expanded, full-service offering in the marketplace. We look forward to working with Lear to deliver end-to-end best practice processes.”
Nexiant POU technology enforces corporate access control policies, provides flexible configuration options for single-item dispensing and ensures the right MRO materials are in the right place at the right time. SIM collects, analyzes and formats transactional data to automate customer-generated reordering, improves inventory visibility and provides analysis and automation tools to improve operational efficiencies enterprise-wide.
