NASCAR Star Delivers Supplies To Katrina Affected School

WHO: Carl Edwards, driver of the No. 99 Office Depot Ford Fusion and one of NASCAR's hottest young stars, headlines a very special event at Earl Travillion Attendance Center (ETAC) in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Edwards, a former substitute teacher and an Ambassador for Youth for National PTA, will help to make a special presentation to the school.

Other guests include Hattiesburg Mayor Johnny L. Dupree, ETAC Principal Christopher Furdge, Office Depot Senior Vice President of Marketing Tony Ueber, and Office Depot Regional Vice President Cheryl Crocker.

WHAT: Edwards and Office Depot are delivering more than $65,000 in classroom supplies, including 30 new Toshiba computers, to ETAC, an elementary school that was hit by Hurricane Katrina just over one year ago. ETAC was selected out of more than two million entries nationwide as the winner of Office Depot's "Great Tools For Your School Sweeps" and will be receiving prizes including classroom supplies from Office Depot as well as Toshiba laptop computers, Sanford writing and erasing products, 3M products including overhead and LCD projectors, new Sauder desks for teachers and computer mouse products from Microsoft. Teachers will be receiving $99 Office Depot Gift Cards, the school is receiving a $9,999 scholarship and each student will receive a backpack with school supplies. Edwards will drive up in his racecar, followed by a hauler filled with the supplies and products.

Edwards will arrive in his No. 99 Office Depot Ford Fusion just before
9:00 AM and will help unload the school supplies out of the hauler.
This will be followed by a school assembly where Edwards will present
the supplies and answer students' questions.
