Washington DC Ocftober 30, 2006; The AIADA newsletter reported that Ford expects to cut North American production by up to 12 percent for the first six months of 2007, and then rebound after midyear, reports Automotive News.
The automaker's CFO, Don Leclair, told the paper that North American production should rise in the second half as inventory levels fall in line with consumer demand. "The comparisons are easier," Leclair said. "But importantly, we have a lot of new products coming, products that will be hitting their stride in the third and fourth quarter of next year."
