This field office was originally established in 1985 in Charlotte, NC, by the former Brown and Sharpe company. The move was prompted by the growing demand for Hexagon's industrial measurement products, and the need for a highly accessible regional location for Hexagon's customers. Hexagon Metrology is the world's largest manufacturer of precision dimensional measurement equipment and software.
