Tom Lee Kornegay, Jr. Named Community Relations Manager, Southeast Region, at Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company
NOVATO, Calif.--Tom Lee Kornegay, Jr. has joined Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company as community relations manager for the Southeast region, according to Danielle Cagan, community relations director.
In this role, Kornegay is responsible for managing the company’s corporate philanthropy program, Fireman’s Fund HeritageSM, in the southeast. This role includes working directly with independent insurance agents in directing grants to fire departments as well as building relationships with the fire service. Fireman’s Fund® employees and its network of independent agents award grants and provide volunteer support to local and national fire service and burn prevention organizations. Through the Heritage program, employees and agents direct millions of dollars each year to the fire service.
Kornegay previously served as external affairs manager for BP Chemicals in Alpharetta, GA. Here he managed an integrated public affairs program on behalf of BP Chemical’s businesses in North America. He has also held public affairs positions with Amoco Corporation.
Kornegay is a former president of the Keep Georgia Beautiful Foundation. He graduated from Utah State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in journalism. He and his family reside in Alpharetta.
