Visteon Affiliate Halla Climate Control Named 2007 PACE Award Finalist For Innovative Cooling Fan Module

VAN BUREN TOWNSHIP, Mich., Oct. 26, 2006 -- Halla Climate Control Corporation, an affiliate of Visteon Corporation , has been named a finalist in the 2007 Automotive News PACE Award Competition for its innovative Wave Blade Fan and Saw Tooth Shroud cooling fan module. The PACE (Premier Automotive Suppliers' Contribution to Excellence) Award is presented by Automotive News, Microsoft, SAP and Transportation Research Center Inc., and recognizes suppliers for superior innovation, technological advancement and business performance.

Unlike conventional engine-cooling fans, Halla Climate Control's patented wave-blade fan design integrates a single wave-blade fan and saw tooth-type shroud to create a low power, light weight and high efficiency cooling fan that significantly reduces overall engine noise, while increasing air flow. Halla's Wave Blade Fan and Saw Tooth Shroud cooling fan module is in production on the Hyundai Sonata for the North American market, as well as Hyundai and Kia vehicles in other markets.
