Alcan Signs Long-Term Agreement With Valeo to Supply Aluminum Sheet for Automotive Thermal Systems

Alcan Specialty Sheet has signed a multi-year agreement with Valeo (France) to supply aluminum sheet for use in the automotive thermal systems manufactured in Valeo's European plants. Valeo ranks among the top global players in the automotive heat exchanger segment.

"Including Alcan Specialty Sheet Neuf-Brisach (Europe) and Alcan Rolled Products Ravenswood (North America), Alcan is now the number-one worldwide supplier to Valeo for aluminium rolled products," he added.

The contract encompasses a supply agreement for air conditioning as well as engine cooling heat exchangers, and a comprehensive set of R&D provisions concerning joint developments and cooperation. Alcan Neuf- Brisach has been a "VIP" preferred supplier of Valeo since 2004. The Valeo Integrated Partners (VIP) program recognizes suppliers with whom Valeo has established a close relationship based on a constant drive to achieve excellence.
