Dr. Ruediger Grube and Andreas Renschler Appointed for an Additional 3 Years as Members of the Board of Management

STUTTGART, Germany, and AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Oct. 25, 2006 -- The Supervisory Board of DaimlerChrysler AG has reconfirmed Ruediger Grube (55) as a Member of the Board of Management responsible for Corporate Development which includes Corporate Strategy, Mergers & Acquisitions, Industrial Participations, IT and North East Asia activities and Andreas Renschler (48) as a Member of the Board of Management responsible for Truck Group & Buses.

Ruediger Grube's appointment as Member of the Board of Management responsible for Corporate Development will be extended for an additional 3 years through September 2010. His current contract expires in September 2007. Grube has been a Member of Board of Management since October 1, 2001.

Andreas Renschler's appointment as Member of the Board of Management responsible for Truck Group & Buses will be extended for an additional 3 years through September 2010. His current contract expires in September 2007. Renschler has been a Member of Board of Management since October 1, 2004.
