Altair Engineering Opens New Regional Office in Seattle
Growing business with aerospace and other industry sectors in the Pacific Northwest calls for additional regional customer support
TROY, Mich., Oct. 25 -- Altair Engineering, Inc., a leading global provider of technology and services that strengthen client innovation and decision-making, today announced that it has expanded its presence in the Pacific Northwest by opening a new office in Seattle. The latest development is due to growing business in the region, especially in the areas of commercial aviation, diesel trucks and consumer products.
"Our growing list of customers sees the great value Altair technology brings to the engineering process," said Robert Yancey, Ph.D., managing director of Altair's Western Region, who has moved from the Irvine, Calif., office to Seattle to offer additional support to clients in the Pacific Northwest. "Our expansion is directly related to our ongoing commitment to helping customers deploy Altair technology to design better products in less time."
In 2006, the staff at the Seattle office has grown from three individuals to 14, with expansion expected to continue. The new office is the second in Altair's Western Region; the first is located in Irvine. The Altair Seattle office serves a variety of companies in the region, including The Boeing Company, Adidas, Intel, Freightliner, Microsoft, Hewlett-Packard, Paccar and Xerox.
