Detroit Chassis Promotes William Kirchmeier to General Manager

DETROIT--Detroit Chassis LLC, a manufacturer of niche vehicles and RV chassis, is proud to announce the promotion of William Kirchmeier to the position of General Manager, effective October 25, 2006. He will report to Michael Guthrie, President and Chief Executive Officer, Detroit Chassis LLC. Kirchmeier joined Detroit Chassis in January 2005 as Lean Champion Function Leader and was promoted to VP Operations in August 2005. As General Manager, he will be responsible for all Detroit Chassis and Detroit Custom Chassis engineering and operations activities and Ford sales and marketing activities.

Kirchmeier came to Detroit Chassis in 2005 with 16 years of cumulative experience in Advanced Automotive Engineering, Operations, Technical Services, Supplier Development and Quality Systems. He earned his Master of Science in Mechanical Design and BA of Science in Industrial Engineering from GMI. Kirchmeier is a Six Sigma Black Belt and has extensive training in Quality systems, i.e., Delphi Shainin problem solving techniques, Lean Enterprise systems, QS9000, Taguchi Methods and BSIE.
