*MEDIA NOTE*

Reed Sorenson will be hosting a Dodge media luncheon on Fri., Oct. 27
at 12:30 pm at the Dodge Motorcoach located in the Busch Series
Driver/Owner overflow motorcoach lot.

Target Team Fast Facts:

A Couple of Firsts: Sorenson made his first NEXTEL Cup Series
start at Atlanta Motor Speedway (AMS) in the BASS Pro Shops 500 on Oct.
30, 2005. After starting 22nd, Sorenson was caught up in a mid-race
accident while running in the top 20 and eliminated from the event
(finished 41st).

*Sorenson also captured his first NEXTEL Cup Series top 10 at AMS,
which came in his sixth career start on Mar. 18,

        2006.

Double Duty: Sorenson will be competing in both the NEXTEL Cup
Series race at AMS and the Busch Series race at Memphis Motorsports Park
this weekend. Sorenson will be at AMS on Friday for practice and
qualifying, and on Saturday for the first morning practice session. He
will skip Happy Hour practice to head to Memphis and will arrive just
before the green flag. Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates
development driver Kevin Hamlin will be in Memphis to practice and
qualify the car prior to Sorenson's arrival. Hamlin has played a
similar role for other non-companion events this season.

Autograph Anyone: Sorenson will be signing autographs from 6-8
pm on Thurs., Oct. 26 at Race Team Depot located at 116 Bethea Rd., Ste.
108, Fayetteville, GA 30214. For more information go to
www.raceteamdepot.com <http://www.raceteamdepot.com/>

Local Flavor: Reed Sorenson hails from nearby Peachtree City,
Ga. Additionally, one of his good friends growing up and current Target
and Discount Tire crew member Shane Bourgeois is from there as well.
The two spent lots of time together working on Sorenson's ASA cars prior
to graduating to the Busch and NEXTEL Cup Series ranks.

Chassis: Crew Chief Jimmy Elledge and the No. 41 Target Team
have selected chassis #612 for this weekend's race at AMS. This is the
same car Sorenson almost captured his first NEXTEL Cup win with in the
September California Speedway event before running out of gas with just
two laps remaining.

NEXTEL Cup Points Report: Sorenson and the No. 41 team
maintained their 25th position in the overall standings after suffering
from brake problems in Martinsville and finishing 35th. With a total of
3055 points, the team is only 148 points out of 20th.

Rookie Round Up: Sorenson is currently third in the Raybestos
Rookie of the Year standings with 194 points. He trails leader Denny
Hamlin by 83 points and second place Clint Bowyer by 29. Sorenson has
captured rookie of the race honors in five of the 32 races run thus far
in '06 (Atlanta - 10th, Martinsville - 12th, Michigan - fifth,
Chicagoland - seventh, Michigan 2 - eighth).

Busch Series Update: Sorenson remains 10th in the Busch Series
driver standings after a weekend off from driving the No. 41 Discount
Tire Dodge. He is only 16 points out of ninth heading into this
weekend's event at Memphis Motorsports Park.

Reed Sorenson on Atlanta...

"I'm pretty excited about returning to the Atlanta area and racing at
AMS this weekend. Our schedules are so hectic that the Atlanta races
are about the only time I get to visit with family and friends during
the season. This weekend is pretty busy because I'm racing in Memphis
on Saturday, but hopefully I'll have some time to catch up with
everyone.

"I truly enjoy and look forward to racing at AMS. It's my hometown
track and I've run a ton of Legends Cars there. I'm very close with a
lot of the track personnel and they've always been extremely nice to my
family and I. Most importantly I enjoy having the support of the
hometown fans. The cheers and applause I got during driver
introductions for my first NEXTEL Cup race at the track sounded like I
had been driving in the series for years. That support means a lot to
us and hopefully the Target team will put on a good show this weekend.

"We're taking the car we almost won with at California, and it was
really fast at Kansas a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately, we cut a
tire and hit the wall, but I know it's a good car and I'm confident it
will be fast right off of the truck on Friday."
