2006 Great Lakes Dragaway Import Wars sponsored by Phil?s Inc. ? Final
Championship Points Standings
Great Lakes Dragaway in Union Grove, Wisconsin continued its support
of the Sport Compact scene with the scheduling of a monthly series
dedicated to the import car enthusiast.
In 2006, a points series was established for the Bracket ET classes,
as well as the Quick 16 and Frantic 7 divisions. The seven monthly
events were well supported as over 200 drivers competed in the
elimination rounds throughout the 2006 season. The great folks at GLD
also allow non-racers to make Test and Tune passes down the strip
between eliminations ensuring that everyone can enjoy the thrill of
running down one of the longest running drag racing facilities in the
country. The Test and Tune entries easily equaled the number racers
at each event. Needless to say, Import Wars is well supported by the
Sport Compact racing community.
