Amerigon Climate Control Seat(TM) (CCS(TM)) System to Be Offered in the New 2007 Lexus LS 460 and LS 460L

Popular Heated-Cooled Seat System Again Selected as Option in Lexus Luxury Sedans, Extends 6 1/2-Year Relationship

NORTHVILLE, Mich., Oct. 19 -- Amerigon Incorporated , a leader in developing products based on advanced thermoelectric (TE) technologies for a wide range of global markets and applications, today announced that its proprietary Climate Control Seat(TM) (CCS(TM)) system will be offered in the new 2007 Lexus LS 460 and LS 460L when the luxury sedans go on sale this fall. The LS 460 and LS 460L replace the popular Lexus LS 430, which has featured CCS since March 2000.

CCS will be offered on the LS 460 and LS 460L to provide year-round heating and cooling comfort for front seat passengers, with some option packages offering CCS for both front and rear seat passengers.

"Our heated and cooled seat system fits nicely in the sophisticated redesign of the new Lexus LS 460 and LS 460L," said Amerigon President and CEO Daniel R. Coker. "We have a long and proud history with Lexus that dates back to 2000 due primarily, we believe, to our responsiveness, quality and engineering innovation, and the consumer demand for our value enhancing CCS system. We look forward to many more years of our expanding relationship with Lexus."

The CCS system is the only system on the global seat market that provides seat occupants individually controlled, active heating and cooling for comfort in any climate at any time of the year. The environmentally sensitive CCS system is integrated into a vehicle seat and operates through a self-contained and solid state electronic heating and cooling system based on Amerigon's proprietary thermoelectric device technology.
