Bryan Silas; Fast Track Racing To Run Full 2007 ARCA RE/MAX Series Schedule

Bryan Silas; Fast Track Racing To Run
Full 2007 ARCA RE/MAX Series Schedule

HARRISBURG, North Carolina (Wednesday, October 18, 2006) - - Fast Track Racing’s Andy Hillenburg proudly announced today that Bryan Silas has been tapped to drive the No. 11 Fast Track Racing Chevrolet Monte Carlo for the full 2007 ARCA RE/MAX Series season.
Bryan Silas has been racing since the age of 14. He started behind the wheel of a go-kart at St. Lucie Speedway. By the age of 16, Silas was racing Legends cars competitively, nationwide. Now, Silas is living the dream of competing in the developmental series for NASCAR.
He competed in the final two ARCA RE/MAX Series events with FTR (Fast Track Racing) in preparation for his bid towards a full season but also the chance of capturing Rookie-of-the-Year honors.

Silas is in good hands. His car owner, Hillenburg mastered the series in 1995 running his first full season of competition, tackling two wins, nine top-fives and 17 top-tens. Last season, Chad McCumbee, who now completes full time in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, finished a strong fourth in the final point standings.

“It’s great to have Bryan aboard for the 2007 ARCA RE/MAX Series season,?? said Hillenburg. “We have set some reasonable goals for ourselves and I think with the more experience Brian gets, the more he’ll continue to shine.??

Hillenburg continued, “Bryan has run well in his short stint of competition and I hope to help him become a contender each and every race. I think we’re plenty capable of finishing strong; we just need a little luck along the way. We’re confident that when the season kicks off in Daytona, we’ll be strong and maybe even grab Bryan’s first top-ten.??

Dave McClure, who called the shots for Silas at Talladega and Iowa, is expected to once again guide the Florida native from up above next year. “I had the opportunity to work with Bryan in the last two races of the season and we have a strong, young driver. I’m looking forward to once again working with him next season,?? stated McClure.

Silas spent the 2006 season getting his feet wet in ARCA competition, competing in six RE/MAX Series events at Berlin Raceway, The Milwaukee Mile, Toledo Speedway, Chicagoland Speedway, Talladega Superspeedway and Iowa Speedway. Silas earned a best finish of 16th in September at Toledo Speedway.

“I can’t wait for 2007,?? said a jubilant Silas. “I’m really looking forward to running my first full year of ARCA. I’ve learned so much in such a short time and I know it will only get better. Andy Hillenburg and his team are awesome. Andy has done so much for me in a short time and I know things are looking real good for us next year, again I can’t wait!??

When not competing on the ARCA schedule, Bryan competes in both the Sportsman and Limited Late Model divisions at Orlando Speedworld and New Smyrna Speedway.

The rookie driver plans to continue to establish a reputation of being respectful and trustworthy but an intense racer.

While the 2006 ARCA RE/MAX Series season has officially come to a close, Silas will continue to gather seat time at various tracks before finishing off his testing schedule with the RE/MAX Series at Daytona International Speedway in December.

The team plans to announce their 2007 sponsorship package at the annual ARCA RE/MAX Series championship banquet in Covington, Kentucky on December 9, 2006.
