H.E.A.T. to Host 21st Anniversary Breakfast at Joe Louis Arena, Oct. 24

Recognition in the Prevention of Auto Theft

WHAT: Help Eliminate Auto Thefts (H.E.A.T.) 21st Anniversary Breakfast invitation-only celebration and awards ceremony at Joe Louis Arena.

WHY: H.E.A.T. hosts this yearly event to recognize Michigan law enforcement agencies, insurance investigators and community groups for their valuable work in the prevention of auto theft.

The prestigious Liddane Award will be presented along with the H.E.A.T. Investigator of the Year Awards. Awards are given based on superior performance and progress made toward the prevention and reduction of auto theft in the State of Michigan and its metro areas. In addition, Michigan State Police (MSP) Director Colonel Peter C. Munoz will serve as keynote speaker.

WHO: H.E.A.T. (Help Eliminate Auto Thefts), a partnership of Michigan's auto insurance companies, law enforcement and residents of Michigan. The H.E.A.T. program encourages citizen action through a confidential, toll-free auto theft tip line (1-800-242-H.E.A.T.) that provides financial rewards up to $10,000 to people who provide information leading to the arrest and prosecution of individuals for auto theft, auto theft-related insurance fraud and identity theft, carjacking, theft rings and chop shops.
