Armor Holdings, Inc. Receives $17 Million Award for Up-Armored HMMWVs
JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Oct. 17, 2006 -- Armor Holdings, Inc. , a leading manufacturer and distributor of military vehicles, vehicle armor systems and life safety and survivability systems serving military, law enforcement, homeland security and commercial markets, announced today the receipt of orders valued at $17 million from the U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command for additional production of M1116 Up-Armored HMMWV vehicles to support the USAF and for transparent armor spare parts for Up-Armored HMMWVs. Work will be performed during 2007 by the Armor Holdings Aerospace and Defense Group at its facilities near Cincinnati, Ohio.
