GM Certified Used Vehicles Acts Quick. Offers Video-Ads to Dealers.*
GM Certified Used Vehicles has introduced a truly, compelling
Web-marketing tool to its dealers. The QuickSpot TV Listing (currently
offered through Auto Trader Publishing’s AutoExtra.com website) features
exclusive video-ads complete with custom audio tracks. The individual
dealer not only can showcase inventory with multiple photos, vehicle
details page and more - but can now feature his or her dealership in a
customized video-banner. QuickSpot combines the benefits of TV,
classified, and Internet advertising in one product.
"The Internet has emerged as THE most efficient way to connect
used-vehicle buyers and sellers,” said Paul Pejza, Manager GM Certified
Used Vehicles. “As more and more sellers advertise, it is critical that
our dealers (and their inventory) stand out - What better way to do this
than with mini Web-commercials?"
The QuickSpot TV Listing is the result of a collaborative effort over a
year in the making. GM Certified and co-op partners Auto Trader
Publishing (a Cox Auto Trader company) and QuickSpot (a service of Grace
& Wild, Inc.) looked closely at emerging Web-marketing trends and set
out to create a co-op Web product that offers the same advantages their
classified and television products do now.
"GM Certified offers the most powerful co-op advertising in the
category, period.” said Bruiser Mann, National Sales Director, Auto
Trader Publishing. “The QuickSpot TV Listing is just one example. I
don't think dealers realize how good they have it."
Auto Trader Publishing was the first to offer GM Certified dealers a
turnkey, co-op advertising program through classified print
publications. In February 2005 it launched AutoExtra.com to extend its
classified reach to the Web. Similarly, Grace & Wild, Inc. (a leading
provider of production and postproduction services to General Motors)
was the first to offer GM Certified dealers a turnkey, co-op TV/Radio
service. QuickSpot was not only the first program of its kind in the
country, but was developed specifically for GM Certified dealers.
"Our goal is and has always been to make it easy for the dealers, said
Jim Shanley, Executive Director, QuickSpot. “We provide national-quality
advertising content at an affordable price. Next Day TV! It doesn't get
any better than that."
GM Certified is the #1 selling certified pre-owned brand in the country.
In fact, in 2005 Chevrolet, which is part of the GM Certifed Used
Vehicles program, overtook Toyota as the #1 selling single-line
manufacturer-certified pre-owned brand as well. GM credits a lot of
their success to the support it provides its dealers through both its
national brand campaign and the local co-op advertising programs.
