Tabletop Exhibits Highlight Vision and Robots for Automotive Manufacturing

ANN ARBOR, Mich.--A limited number of $25 passes are now available to see the October 17 tabletop exhibits at Metro Detroits first-ever workshop on Vision & Robots for Automotive Manufacturing. Sponsored by Automated Imaging Association and Robotic Industries Association, the event is at the Novi Sheraton on Eight Mile Road by I-275, and includes two days of sessions and 64 exhibitors focused on this leading-edge technology (separate registration required for sessions).

Exhibit only tickets must be ordered in advance, and are good for a special reception from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 17. Call Association headquarters for details at 734-994-6088, or visit www.machinevisiononline.org. Restrictions apply (no one under 18; must be a qualified professional in the automotive manufacturing sector).

There has been so much demand to attend this workshop that weve had to get creative to accommodate everyone. We expect more than 200 industry participants, said Jeffrey A. Burnstein, Executive Director of AIA.

Development of the workshop started with input from local automotive experts and turned into an agenda that features DaimlerChrysler, Ford GM, and several notable Tier-one suppliers. Technology experts from vision and robot companies provide sessions that highlight the latest success stories and offer unique insights into high-tech trends for robots and vision, according to Burnstein.

Our speakers have proven and practical experience, said Burnstein. This workshop addresses important competitive issues for any company trying to succeed in todays tough automotive market. The exhibits are for serious professionals who want to see and compare the best of the best so they can make informed decisions about technology solutions for their production needs.
