LEXINGTON ENERGY SERVICES ON BOARD WITH ROCKETSPORTS FOR FINAL TWO 2006 CHAMP CAR EVENTS
EAST LANSING, Michigan (October 12, 2006) – An unfamiliar-looking #18 Rocketsports Champ Car will roll off the plane in Australia, but a familiar name will be on display of the shiny new black and red Lola representing the continued partnership between Rocketsports and Lexington Energy Services.
Canada's Lexington Energy Services Inc. co-Founders Brent Nimeck and Larry Kristof today announced the company's participation in the Champ Car World Series with Rocketsports Racing for the final two events of the 2006 schedule, in Australia and Mexico.
Lexington Energy Services, Inc. joined Rocketsports during Round Eight of the Bridgestone Presents The Champ Car World Series Powered by Ford in Edmonton as an associate sponsor on the #18 car which was driven by Tonis Kasemets. For the Australia event, former-Formula One driver Antonio Pizzonia will return to the cockpit of the #18 car after making two Champ Car starts previously with the team.
Lexington Energy Services will be the primary sponsor on the #18 Rocketsports Ford-Cosworth/Lola/Bridgestone for the final two races on the 2006 Champ Car World Series schedule, which includes live viewer ship from two international audiences, Australia and Mexico, along with national and international television coverage all over the world. Lexington is motivated by the connection to Australia and Mexico, and Brazil with Pizzonia, because they are all oil generating countries and see this opportunity as something to build on for the future as their Canadian-based company continues to grow.
"We (Lexington) participated with Rocketsports at the Edmonton event, and saw that Champ Car provided us with an excellent marketing platform to help bring awareness to our company." commented C.E.O. Kristof. "We will take this next step of being a high profile participant in Australia and Mexico as a means of introducing ourselves to Energy Sector majors in those two countries. Our direction is definitely towards extending our involvement with Paul Gentilozzi and his team of dedicated racing professionals."
Lexcore Services Inc. is poised to be Canada’s fastest-growing energy service provider. With 2 drilling rigs on contract for the winter of 2006, a Q1 in 2007, and 10 more drilling packages being bid on, Lexcore Services CBM /Oils Sands coring rigs are sure to set the standards in shallow drilling performance. Lexcore Services Inc., with the newest fleet of drilling rigs, will continue to set the bench mark in Safe and Efficient drilling operations in Canada and abroad while delivering incredible results for shareholders, customers, and employees.
Lexcore is currently exploring drilling markets in Central and South America. “With our focus on safety and performance we feel the partnership between Rocketsports, Lexington and Champ car is a perfect fit,” stated co-Founder Nimeck.
