Team JNE Consulting Capture OSCAAR Title

Peterborough, On: Team JNE Consulting captured their first OSCAAR Outlaw Super Late Model Title Sunday at Peterborough Speedway Autumn Colours Classic. Going into the event all John Fletcher needed to do was to start the feature. OSCAAR allows a five lap warm before the green flag waves on any 5o race and during this period accidents can happen as seen for the 50 car of Tom Guzzilla Jr with a motor failure during the warm up. John lined up in the third starting position for the start and the green flag dropped on the field of twenty of Canada's fastest race cars in front of the full grandstands. John drove under the green flag and making him the 2006 OSCAAR Champion the goal changed to winning at the speedway in which Team JNE Consulting last victory here was July of 2005. John hounded the 22 of Glenn Watson for forty three laps, making a move to pass Glenn was difficult as the 22 was running a fast pace. The 61 of Fletcher had pressure on him but not enough to pass yet, caution on the speedway for a spin bunched the field and on the restart the impatient 89 of Drew Spicer spun John out, to Drew's credit he is locked in a tight battle with Watson for second in the points and was driving hard to catch Watson. A multi car pile up on the lap forty four had the 61 of Fletcher in the middle and resulting in going to the rear of the field again on the restart. John drove back to the 6^th position at the finish. The crowd was treated to incredible weather and a great race on the Thanksgiving Sunday. Hats of to Glen Watson on his well deserved win.

With a 509 point lead, John will try to extend his win count for the year to eight, wrap up the most laps led for the year, average finish of 1.6 and currently tied with Rob Clarke for most qualifying race wins with these stats; it is a much deserved OSCAAR Title.
