AutoWeek Magazine Names New Publisher & Associate Publisher

DETROIT, Oct. 9, 2006 -- AutoWeek Magazine has named Anthony J. "Tony" Merpi publisher and Keith "K.C." Crain Jr. associate publisher/sales, effective today.

joined Automotive News as an advertising salesman and was later promoted to advertising director. In his most recent role as director of sales and marketing of the Automotive News Group, Merpi was responsible for overseeing the marketing and sales efforts of all the Crain automotive titles and Web sites including Automotive News, Automotive News Europe, AutoWeek, automotivenews.com and autoweek.com. In May 2000, he was named a vice president of Crain Communications Inc.

In making the announcement, AutoWeek editorial director Keith Crain said, "Merpi has the passion for all things automotive and the big ideas and know- how to make things happen both on the client side as well as in marketing and targeting events and promotions for our readers and clients."

Previous to being named associate publisher/sales, Crain Jr. joined AutoWeek in June 2005 and was named ad director in April 2006. Prior to his position at AutoWeek, he served as a reporter with AutoWeek sister publication Automotive News and was an early member of Crain Communications Inc's corporate New Media department.
