Devon Motorcycles, Jincheng Corporation Receive First Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Certification for Dirt Bike Models

KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa.--Devon Motorcycles, Inc., the registered Department of Transportation (DOT) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) agent for the Jincheng Corporation, Chinas largest manufacturer of motorcycles, today announced that it has received EPA certification on its 150cc, 70cc, and 50cc dirt bikes. Jincheng Corporation is one of over 200 subsidiaries of the Jincheng Group, which ranks in the Fortune 50 of Chinese companies.

Devon Motorcycles exclusively distributes Jincheng bike models in the United States. Jincheng has led Chinas motorcycle industry in exports and foreign exchange income for nine consecutive years. In 2005, the company exported more than 500,000 bikes to 40 countries, and produced annual revenues over $250 million. Jincheng has been recognized by Chinas State Administration for Industry and Commerce as the countrys leading brand, and listed by Chinas Ministry of Commerce as a key export brand that is expected to bolster.

This is outstanding news for Devon Motorcycles and Jincheng, and an important step towards our expansion in the United States, says Ruth Wu, vice president of operations for Devon Motorcycles. China is the worlds second largest motorcycle exporter, and Jincheng is a major player in this industry. Their line of durable, safe, and affordable dirt bikes provides a competitive alternative to high-priced bike manufacturers. We are proud to offer Jincheng products to our dealers across the United States.

Legislation requires all automotive vehicles imported into the United States to be certified by the EPA before distribution. This was Devon Motorcycles first application.

Devon Motorcycles and Jincheng form an excellent team, says Bruce Helmke, a Devon Motorcycle dealer. I have tremendous confidence in their ability to make an immediate impact on the American motorcycle industry, and look forward to stocking future Jincheng models.

The company will celebrate the approval with the media and public at its inaugural Jincheng Day event on Saturday, October 7, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Cycle City on West Chester Pike in Broomall, Pennsylvania. Devon Motorcycles Jincheng Day is open to the public and will feature the certified dirt bikes. The company will also welcome Stella Wang, a factory representative from Jincheng, to the event.
