        Redemption Time!  Hannagan has sites set on Knoxville this Saturday!

 

October 5, 2006 (Knoxville, IA) Ask the driver of the Penthouse Magazine #1x
about this years Knoxville Nationals and you are likely to not get a very
positive answer.  This year was the first time in a long time that Randy
Hannagan was not part of the main event on Saturday night of the Knoxville
Nationals.  It was a rough time for the San Jose, CA native who prides
himself in his Knoxville record.  Hannagan who earlier in the year finished
6th at Knoxville likes his chances this Saturday night when the Greatest
Show on Dirt returns to the historic ½ mile.

 

Back in June the Penthouse Magazine #1X timed in 11th and finished 6th in
his heat showed why he is such a top performer at Knoxville.  Hannagan would
finish 9th in the Dash and start 9th in the “A”.  Because it was a
preliminary feature that would later be determined a feature due to rain, it
was only 25 laps in distance  Hannagan would use the low line around the big
sweeping ½ mile for a 6th place run.  

 

“Yeah the Nationals was not what we had hoped for.”  Said Hannagan. “We had
a great run in June here and had high expectations for the Nationals but it
was just not meant to be.  I’ like to put this Penthouse Magazine car in
victory lane at this place.  We have had a pretty good year and want to get
a win to build momentum for 2007. Steve and Chris have busted their butt
each and every week to give me a great car.  Penthouse has been a great
addition to our team and looking for big things in 2007 and the new TV deal
is huge as well.  I like our chances this weekend but the locals that run
here week in and week out are pretty tough as well.”
