International Sail & Power Boat Show in Long Beach, West's Largest In-Water, On-Land Show, October 5-8
The 37th Annual International Sail & Power Boat Show is the largest combined in-water and on-land show in the West, and the last big boat show of the season. In total, the show will hold more than 500 boats in all shapes and sizes, from huge luxury yachts to small family fun boats, as well as an assortment of boating accessories, services and entertainment. A few highlights include:
2007 MODELS DEBUT: -- All-new Hunter 49, a big luxury cruiser and Hunter Marine's new flagship. -- All-new Columbia 30 Sport Yacht(TM) representing the very best of design, engineering, materials and construction; built with the latest environmentally friendly technology in Santa Ana, Calif. -- Advantage Boats new XFlight 29 with an interior configuration that incorporates the practicality and roominess of a deckboat with the style and luxury of a true sportboat. -- Porta-Bote, a foldable portable craft that condenses to 4 inches flat. The Porta-Bote made the record books recently by being the first boat ever to sail at 20,000 feet on Mt. Everest! WOMEN ON THE WATER (WOW) DAY, FRIDAY, OCTOBER 6: -- Women get in free on Friday, October 6. -- Local and national organizations scheduled to participate. -- Nordstrom's Spa presents "Outdoor Skincare." -- In-water demos by women for women. -- Boating seminars to help women get started in boating from sailing to purchasing to safety and fun.
