Scott Weis Band to play at Richmond Drag Race
DINWIDDIE, Va. (Oct. 3, 2006)- The well known Scott Weis Band will make a
special appearance at the TORCO RACE FUELS NHRA Nationals this weekend at
Virginia Motorsports Park in Dinwiddie, Va. supporting namesake Top Fuel racer Scott
Weis and his Bruce's Super Body Shop's/Barrett Enterprises 7,000 horsepower,
320 mph dragster.
The band will perform at 5:30 P.M. in the hospitality area of Weis
Family/Barrett Enterprises Top Fuel pit and Virginia Motorsports Park.
The Scott Weis band will then move to downtown Richmond, to perform Saturday
evening at the infamous Alley Katz club located at 10 Walnut Alley in the
Historic Shockoe Bottom District in Richmond, Va. More specifically, you can find
the club between 17th and 18th Street, just off Main St.
The show will begin at 10 P.M. on Saturday with Top Fuel pilot Scott Weis
joining the band. Admission is $10 at the door.
The Scott Weis Band is comprised of Scott Weis - lead vocals, guitar and
harmonica, Roger Voss on the drums, and bassist Robert Kopec. Over the
past twenty years, each of these musicians has worked with many legends
of all styles of music, ranging from Junior Wells and Soul System to
Jerry Garcia, U2, and Randy Brecker. These three musicians, along with
keyboardist Michael Fossa, create a unique blend of soul, blues, and
rock.
The band will be introducing their new CD that evening at a CD release party
prior to the band taking the stage.
