Michelle Cervantez Named One of “100 Most Influential Hispanics” by Hispanic Business Magazine

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif.--Michelle Cervantez, Vice President of Marketing Hyundai Motor America, has been named one of the 100 Most Influential Hispanics by Hispanic Business magazine in its October 2006 issue. Cervantez, who joined Hyundai Motor America in 2005, is responsible for all Hyundai marketing and advertising in the United States, and plays a pivotal role in the companys Hispanic marketing initiatives.

It is an honor to be selected and recognized alongside other exceptional Hispanic professionals and entrepreneurs. Hyundai is clearly a company with great momentum and we are dedicated to extending and strengthening our commitment to the Hispanic market, Cervantez said.

Hispanic Business, the flagship publication of Hispanic Business, Inc. recognizes in its 100 Most Influential Hispanics list U.S. citizens of Hispanic origin who have made exceptional achievements and contributions within their respective fields. The annual list compiles nominations made by website visitors, readers, contributing editors, magazine staff and writers. Individuals selected for this prestigious recognition are key players in the areas of politics, business, academia, media, arts, entertainment and sports.

The 2006 recognition is Cervantez second naming as one of Hispanic Business magazines 100 Most Influential Hispanics. This publication has also named her one of 80 Elite Women in the United States in 2003. Her notable recognition history also includes being named twice, 2006 and 2002, by Automotive News as one of 100 Leading Women in the North American Auto Industry.

Before joining Hyundai Motor America, Cervantez held a similar post at Mercedes-Benz USA and also served as Vice-President of Marketing for Jaguar Cars North America. Her automotive career began with a variety of positions in Ford Motor Company, including regional field operations as well as marketing positions with Ford and Lincoln Mercury Brands.

A resident of Southern California, Cervantez earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Notre Dame and a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing from the University of Southern California.
