120 consumers prove how muddy they are willing to get to win an all-new 2007
Jeep Wrangler Unlimited in the "Jeep(R) Stick in the Mud" challenge
WHAT: Daring fairgoers will have to roll up their sleeves and their pant legs when they dive into a mess of fun on the opening day of the State Fair of Texas during the "Jeep(R) Stick in the Mud" challenge. The event will literally bring the phrase "stick-in-the-mud" to life when up to 120 consumers race through a giant pool of knee-deep mud looking for buried sticks, earning points as they go. Four lucky 'mud-slingers' will make it to the final round and one lucky winner will be awarded the keys to an all-new four-door 2007 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. The top three runners-up will each receive a Jeep Adventure Prize Package.
WHO: Up to 120 pre-registered participants, including "mud-slingers" from Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Louisiana
WHEN: Friday, September 29 * 8 a.m. - Qualifying Rounds (up to 120 participants will compete in eight rounds of competition) * 10 a.m. - Semi-Finals (16 contestants will compete in four rounds of competition) * 11 a.m. - Finals (one round of four contestants) WHERE: The State Fair of Texas - Dodge Truck Zone Area Fair Park at 3500 Parry Avenue Dallas, Texas 75226 DETAILS: Here's the dirt: * Mud-Slingers -- Up to 120 pre-registered participants will get down, dirty and covered in mud as they race through an oversized pool filled with more than 14,000 gallons of mud, enough to cover nearly nine basketball courts * Stick-Grabbers -- Mud will fly as participants dig, toss and push through the pool uncovering 100 hidden sticks buried beneath the surface, earning points along the way * Wrangler-Winner -- After three rounds of play, one lucky winner will emerge from the muddy pool and will be awarded an all-new four-door 2007 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited
OTHER: Jeep owners take pride in seeing how dirty they can get their vehicles, sometimes going for days before washing off the evidence of their off-road adventures. The "Jeep Stick in the Mud" challenge is in celebration of the launch of the newest Jeep vehicle that's not afraid of getting dirty, the all-new four-door Jeep Wrangler Unlimited.
