Tim Sauter ready for Kansas City
Last week to enter Lester Buildings 2006 building giveaway As the 2006 NASCAR Busch Series winds to a close, Lester Buildings has only three races remaining as primary sponsor of McGill Motorsports #36 Chevy. Tim Sauter is hoping that this weekend’s Yellow Transportation 300 at the Kansas Speedway will be the first of three strong runs to reward Lester Buildings for their support of the team this season.
“Lester Buildings has been behind me for nearly four years now, and Lester’s involvement in racing has helped them reach many race fans and potential new customers,” Sauter said. “Three solid runs would be a great reward to Lester Buildings. Getting back into the top-thirty in owners points by the end of the season is a goal for this team, a couple of good finishes should get us there.”
Another thing coming to a close is Lester Buildings' second annual "Building Giveaway." This is the final week to enter into the contest to win a $30,000 Lester "Town & Country" building. Beginning in March, fans have been able to enter the sweepstakes by mailing a coupon from Tim Sauter's autograph card or by completing an online entry form at BGNRacing.com.
There are 45 entries on the preliminary entry list for the Yellow Transportation 300. Sixteen drivers are attempting the “double-duty” of both the Busch and Cup races this weekend.
Qualifying for the Yellow Transportation 300 will air live on SPEED beginning at noon eastern on Saturday, September 30. The green flag will fly at 3:00 pm eastern the same day. The race can be seen live on TNT and will be broadcast on MRN radio stations across the country.
• The Yellow Transportation 300 will be Tim’s 110th start in the NBS and 115th career NASCAR start.
• Tim is currently 26th in NBS driver points.
• All three Sauter brothers will be attempting this weekends Yellow Transportation 300.
• This weekend’s race will be the second time Tim has competed at Kansas in the NBS. Best Finish: 11th on September 28th, 2002 driving the AP Performance Chevy.
Tim’s thoughts on the Kansas Speedway: “I’ve only been to Kansas once before, back in 2002, we had a really solid run that day, finishing eleventh.” Sauter said. “We had a good run at Vegas in March until we got in that big wreck and we had a very competitive car at Kentucky back in June so we should have a good run for Lester Buildings at Kansas this weekend.”
Affordable primary sponsorship is available on the McGill Motorsports Chevy Monte Carlo SS for the last three races on the 2006 NBS schedule. Interested parties should contact John McGill at 440-914-4206, or visit mcgillmotorsports.com to learn more.
