Midwest Focus Showdown

Tate Martz knows exactly how it feels to win a USAC championship. Jordan Noblitt is still wondering.

But Noblitt is hoping he only needs to wonder until Friday, as he leads the USAC Midwest Ford Focus Dirt Midget Car Series into its season finale at Gas City (Ind.) I-69 Speedway.

Noblitt leads Martz by six points heading into the race. Tony Main, Chett Gehrke and Ronnie Wuerdeman all still have legitimate shots at the title, as all are within 50 points of the lead. A feature by Noblitt and/or Martz will eliminate the others from competition.

Martz has won the last two Midwest Ford Focus championships, which were conducted running pavement and dirt.
