Chrysler to Cut Production in Second Half 2006
STUTTGART, Germany, Sept 19, 2006; Reuters reported that DaimlerChrysler's U.S. arm Chrysler will cut its production by around 90,000 units in the third quarter and around 135,000 in the second half to try to reduce a glut of inventory, the company said on Tuesday.
In a presentation made available before a conference call, Chrysler said deliveries to dealers would fall to around 380,000 in the third quarter and to 705,000 in the second half.
Chrysler expected deliveries to rise again in 2007 and subsequent years.
