SCOTT TARGETS 3RD FOCUS TITLE AT ELKIN

            Good things come in threes.

This Saturday night at Friendship Motor Speedway in Elkin, N.C., Chase Scott will look forward to becoming the first Ford Focus driver to experience winning championships in three different seasons.

After claiming the title in both 2004 and 2005, the Concord, N.C. native looks to defend his title and end the season with a win. However, it won't be easy.

Second- and third-place points drivers - Mark Burt and Bradley Riethmeyer - are ready to challenge Scott for the win. Both Burt and Riethmeyer claimed their first wins in the USAC Carolina/Virginia Ford Focus Midget Series in 2006 and look forward to concluding their seasons with a win.

Scott currently holds a 76-point lead over Burt. Riethmeyer is 18 points behind. Scott leads the series in number of wins this year with four while Burt and Riethmeyer have two victories apiece.

Pit gates open at 4 p.m., practice begins at 5 and grandstands open at 6. Racing begins at 8 with a 35-lap feature wrapping up the Focus portion of the show.
