Todd Bowsher Salem Recap

Bowsher Wrangles 9th Place Finish at Salem

For Immediate Release

(9/18/06 - Salem, IN) - Todd Bowsher driver of the GFS Marketplace Ford
completed his 150th ARCA RE/MAX Series career race Saturday at the Salem Speedway
in Indiana. Bowsher qualified the #21 into the Eddie Gilstrap Motors ARCA
Fall Classic in the 18th starting spot and wrangled his way to the front and a
9th place finish.

The 9th place finish was not the telling tale for the Jack Bowsher &
Associates Motorsports crew. Bowsher wheeled the #21 through the field racing hard
within the Top-10 the entire race pitting with the lead pack twice under 2
separate caution periods and gaining several positions on both pit stops.
However, while running in the 5th position on the track and moving up quickly,
Todd was passing the lapped cars of Brent Sherman, Jeff Caudell and Norm Benning
on lap 183 of the scheduled 200 lap event, when for no apparent reason the
lapped cars moved 3-wide and got into the #21 doing a little cosmetic damage to
the GFS Marketplace Ford and causing a left front flat tire on the Bowsher
machine. Todd drove to pit road to change the flat and was back on track
before the green waved. Battling hard to get back to the front the laps clicked
off quickly and Bowsher wound up in the 9th place at the checkered flag.

"What can I say, said Bowsher, the finish doesn't show how good a car we had
here at Salem, we were right there with the leaders all day, we were headed
for a Top-5 and my crew was awesome, they really stepped up and got me off pit
road ahead of some of the other cars on the lead lap." Bowsher added, "I
really just don't know what the lapped cars were thinking, I mean we had trouble
with several lapped cars, but making it 3-wide in front of cars on the lead
lap is really just not using your head, I mean they weren't even racing each
other for position. But it is what it is, it's not what we wanted out of this
deal, but it's what we got, we'll get ready for the remaining 2 events of
this year and see what we can do with them."

Along with completing his 150th ARCA race, Bowsher also moved back up into
the 6th place points position heading into the 2 remaining races of the 06'
ARCA RE/MAX Series season.

The next event for the Jack Bowsher & Associates Motorsports team along with
driver Todd Bowsher will be the Food World 250 at the Talladega
Superspeedway in Talladega, Alabama on Friday, October 6.
