Desert BMW Announces Groundbreaking of Las Vegas Location

LAS VEGAS, Sept. 18 -- Desert BMW of Las Vegas announced today that it will break ground on its new location at 6900 W. Sahara Blvd., on Tuesday, September 19th at 9:30 a.m. The dealership, which is owned by AutoNation, Inc., is currently located at 2333 South Decatur Blvd., on the northwest corner of Sahara and Decatur Blvd. The new facility will offer state-of-the-art sales and service environments and will feature a large customer lounge area, customer work areas, merchandise displays, car wash, easy access in and out of the facility as well as easy parking, enclosed air conditioned delivery area, 2nd level parking and many other features to enhance the customer experience at Desert BMW.

"It has been a long time dream of ours to be able to build a new facility to accommodate our growth and to thank our customers and associates who have been very patient throughout this wait," said James Chaisson, Jr., Desert BMW General Manager. "We continue to focus on growing our premium luxury business," said Mike Maroone, President and Chief Operating Officer of AutoNation. "This new facility is another example of our commitment to the premium luxury business."

Desert BMW of Las Vegas' QMS award winning sales department will be receiving a permanent special allocation of brand new BMW's at the new facility. "This will enable us to provide our clients with an unparalleled selection of models, colors and options," says Chris Heers, New Car Sales Manager. "Our clients' expectations are rising and we are responding to their needs, by taking our business to the next level."

The Parts Department will triple in size in square footage. Inventory will grow to over $2 million, which will enable Desert BMW to better service its clients. There will be separate wholesale desks as well as up to three full time delivery drivers for faster service. "Ten years ago the store housed five different manufacturer products in the current parts department and now we are busting at the seams with BMW product alone. It's a win-win situation for our customers as well as our employees," states Dave Anderson, Parts Manager.

The Service Department will increase to 50 service bays and 10 programming stations. There will be all new equipment and in-ground lifts to help increase efficiency. The technicians will be working in air conditioned facilities with klinker tile floors throughout the service area. Customers will be greeted with hotel style valet service and the service staff will be expanding to accommodate the ever increasing needs of our customers.

Desert BMW anticipates opening its doors at the new location in the 2nd quarter of 2007. With an investment of $28 million to build this facility, Desert BMW of Las Vegas looks forward to delivering industry leading customer satisfaction.
