WHAT: AMA Road Race Grand Championships
* An unprecedented collaboration of the country's top Pro-Am,
amateur and youth motorcycle road racers.
* Club Challenge Championships will name the top road racing
association of 2006.
* 34 National Champions will be crowned.
* AMA Horizon Award winner announced.
AMA Motocross Manufacturers Cup
* Inaugural event will feature marquee motocross manufacturers such
as Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Yamaha and KTM appointing their best amateur
riders from across the country to represent their organization.
* This event will also feature a full-slate of AMA District 12
Amateur Motocross racing.

EVENT HISTORY: In 2000, the AMA Road Race Grand Championships moved from its
original location in New Hampshire to Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course
as a mid-week event held between the AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days and Honda
Super Cycle Weekend presented by Dunlop Tire.
For 2006 and beyond, it is now a stand-alone fall weekend spectator event.
The 2006 event is the first annual
edition of the AMA Motocross Manufacturers Cup, which will crown the top
manufacturer in motocross
racing as well as dozens of individual winners in AMA District 12 amateur
classes.
