Reading rain-delayed again



Mohnton, Pa. (Sept. 16, 2006)- Persistent rain showers forced NHRA officials 
to reschedule this weekend's Toyo Tires NHRA Nationals at Maple Grove Raceway 
until the weekend in between the O'Reilly Fall Nationals in Dallas and the 
Torco Racing Fuels NHRA Nationals in Richmond, Va., on October 6-8. This is the 
fifth time in six years that the Maple Grove event has been postponed due to 
Mother Nature. Bob Vandergriff Jr. will bring his UPS Top Fuel dragster back to 
the Pennsylvania event rescheduled for
Sept. 28-Oct. 1.
"We are disappointed that we aren't able to run this weekend," shared 
Vandergriff. "We really feel we have found some issues that have plagued us recently 
and we were looking forward to getting those behind us and getting the UPS 
dragster into competitive form. We will just have to wait until Ennis."
Vandergriff will return to Maple Grove the following weekend for the 
rain-delayed event.
