13th Alternative Fuels & Vehicles National Conference + Expo 2007
Planning Underway for the Largest AFV Conference in North America
Las Vegas, NV-September 14, 2006 The Alternative Fuels & Vehicles Conference
+ Expo will be held in Anaheim, California, from April 1-4, 2007. The
national conference, presented by the Alternative Fuel Vehicle Institute
(AFVI), is the only event held in North America that attracts over 1500 key
experts and end users to accelerate the commercial adoption of alternative
fuels, vehicles, and advanced transportation technologies. It will be held
at the Anaheim Marriott and Convention Center.
"Tracking developments in the ever-changing alternative fuels marketplace is
becoming a monumental task and an ever more crucial one for fleet
professionals," said Will Kleindienst, Conference Chairman. "With mounting
concerns about fuel prices and global increased demand for oil, alternatives
- including compressed natural gas, liquefied natural gas, liquid petroleum
natural gas, ethanol, biodiesel, propane, and electricity - are increasingly
becoming a logical choice for fleets around the world."
Early sponsors include Alternative Fuel Vehicle Solutions, Clean Energy
Fuels, Daimler Chrysler, General Motors, and the National Biodiesel Board.
The conference is supported by alternative fuels industry representatives
and the U.S. Department of Energy Clean Cities program.
Program:
The program emphasizes four areas:
Alternative Fuels
Alternative Fuel Vehicles and Advanced Transportation Technologies
Vehicle Emissions
Policy and Socioeconomics
Expanded Expo:
The Expo will include major auto manufacturers, technology developers,
industrial, heavy-duty and bus manufacturers, engine manufacturers,
component suppliers and developers, fuel suppliers, government agencies,
universities, as well as environmental and industry associations.
Ride-n-Drive:

heavy-duty alternative fuel vehicles available today. Attendees can get
behind the wheel of the latest 2007 offerings and drive the vehicles
themselves. Company representatives are on hand to answer questions and talk
about the newest technologies that result in significant fuel and emissions
benefits.
Fleet Day:
Fleet Day will be on Tuesday, April 3, and will include a focus on the
topics and products that help fleets make informed transportation choices.
Public Day:
The public is invited to visit the Expo on Wednesday, April 4, between 9:00
a.m. and noon. There is no charge.
