DaimlerChrysler Insurance Company Supports the Detroit Historical Society Cleanup at Dossin Great Lakes Museum on Belle Isle
WHAT: The Detroit Historical Society and 40 DaimlerChrysler Insurance Company employee volunteers will join together to provide the Dossin Great Lakes Museum on Belle Isle a much needed face-lift.
Volunteers will focus on three major projects: Painting of outdoor artifacts including anchors and a Coast Guard boat, cleanup of the building's exterior and interior windows and grounds maintenance including landscape planting, weeding, tree-trimming and trash removal.

OTHER: The Dossin Great Lakes Museum has many exhibits that focus on Great Lakes shipping and maritime history. Permanent exhibits include the S.S. William Clay Ford Pilot House, the Gothic Room from the City of Detroit III, the Miss Pepsi hydroplane and an anchor from the S.S. Edmund Fitzgerald.
