Gavin Conway Joins PRIMEDIA's AUTOMOBILE MAGAZINE as Editor-in-Chief; Jean Jennings Elevated to President of AUTOMOBILE MAGAZINE Brand

NEW YORK--Sept. 12, 2006--PRIMEDIA Inc. today announced the appointment of renowned automotive editor Gavin Conway as editor-in-chief of AUTOMOBILE MAGAZINE. Now in its 20th year, AUTOMOBILE MAGAZINE is known for its distinct iconoclastic style of automotive journalism and is America's leading automotive lifestyle publication.

Mr. Conway joins PRIMEDIA from IWC Media, where he was the editor of 4Car, the U.K.'s largest and most respected online motoring magazine. Mr. Conway enjoys a distinguished and award-winning career in automotive journalism, having served as the deputy editor of Autocar Magazine and editor of Classic & Sportscar Magazine, both highly regarded U.K. publications.

Mr. Conway worked with Discovery Channel in developing The Ultimate Car Series, has written for The Sunday Times Driving Section and is the recipient of the Gold CANPRO Award, a prestigious national award given by the Canadian Professional Journalist Association.
