SiTime Corporation Appoints Craig Garber as Chief Financial Officer

SUNNYVALE, Calif.--Sept. 12, 2006--

  Former Vice President of Finance and European Controller of LAM Research Brings Nearly 22 Years of Finance, International Accounting, and Operations Experience to Support SiTime's Rapid Growth  



SiTime Corporation, a privately held Silicon Valley startup bringing the first MEMS based all silicon timing solutions to compete with quartz to market, today announced it has named Craig Garber as the Company's Chief Financial Officer. Garber will report directly to CEO and co-founder Dr. Kurt Petersen, and assume worldwide responsibility for SiTime's financial operations. Mr. Garber's employment with the Company began September 6, 2006.

Mr. Garber brings more than 20 years of financial experience in the semiconductor equipment industry. Prior to joining SiTime, Craig was employed at Lam Research Corporation for eight years. He served as Lam's Vice President of Corporate Finance and Treasurer from 1997 to 2003, with global responsibility for Treasury, Tax, Credit & Collections, and Foreign Trade. While in this role, he guided Lam's successful outsourcing of core accounting operations. Most recently, Craig served as Lam's Vice President, Finance/Europe in Switzerland. Craig was responsible for guiding the financial restructuring of the Lam's international operations and also served as Controller of the European operations. Prior to his tenure at Lam Research, Craig worked for 13 years at Applied Materials, Inc. in a steady progression of financial management roles with increasing responsibilities.

Craig holds an A.B. degree from the University of Chicago in Disciplines of the Humanities and an M.B.A. degree from The University of California at Berkeley.
