Air2Web Powers Live Demos of New Traffic Service and m-Venue
LOS ANGELES--Sept. 12, 2006--Air2Web, the leading provider of mobile messaging and marketing applications, today announced that it will be demonstrating how both Traffic.com, the leading provider of personalized traffic information for drivers coast to coast, and Akoo International, a provider of location-based mobile entertainment, are leveraging Air2Web. In booth #1125, Traffic.com will demonstrate its Air2Web-powered SMS service, the most recent addition to its real-time, mobile traffic solutions accessible to drivers anytime, anywhere. Traffic.com's SMS product extends its existing voice, mobile and e-mail offerings, creating a fully integrated traffic reporting experience for drivers across the U.S. Akoo will entertain booth visitors with m-Venue, a service that enables consumers to use their mobile phones or Internet-connected mobile devices to search, select, and "activate" in-location audio/video content and interactive entertainment.In addition to its presence in the Air2Web booth, Traffic.com will promote a "Text To TRAFC To Win" contest for CTIA attendees. To enter the contest, show attendees can simply text "LA" to the code "TRAFC" to get real-time traffic reports for routes around the LA Convention Center. Users will be automatically entered into a drawing to win an Apple Vacation to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. As part of the contest promotion, the Traffic.com mobile billboard will drive around the convention center and the busy routes around LA during CTIA.
Akoo will demonstrate m-Venue's features via a 50-inch plasma screen in the Air2Web booth. Attendees can select a wide variety of audio and video content from Sony BMG, Universal Music Group, and Sony Pictures among others by sending a text message (SMS) with their mobile phone or via mobile Internet. Selections will be performed on-demand at the booth. Users can also learn how m-Venue facilitates more effective mobile promotions, loyalty & rewards programs, and opt-in targeted marketing campaigns.
