Clint Bowyer Tapped to Drive No. 46 Morgan-Dollar Motorsports Silverado at New Hampshire International Speedway

New Hampshire 200 First of Two NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Races for NASCAR Rising Star

Statesville, NC (September 11, 2006) - Clint Bowyer has been tapped to drive the No. 46 SKF Chevrolet Silverado fielded by Morgan-Dollar Motorsports (MDM) in the New Hampshire 200 for the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series (NCTS). David Dollar, president and owner of MDM, announced a two-race agreement between Bowyer and MDM today. Bowyer will again take the wheel of the No. 46 Silverado in the Silverado 350 at Texas Motor Speedway on November 3, 2006. The September 16th race at New Hampshire International Speedway will mark the Emporia, Kan., native’s second career series start. In April 2006, Bowyer started third and finished seventh at Martinsville (Va.) Speedway. Bowyer is currently ranked 16th in NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series point standings and is second in the Raybestos Rookie of the Year battle with three top-five and seven top-10 finishes on the year.

Running a full-time NASCAR Busch Series (NBS) schedule for RCR, as well, Bowyer sits fourth in the point standings with eight top-five and 12 top-10 finishes.

"I am looking forward to racing the truck for Morgan-Dollar at New Hampshire," said Bowyer. "We had a strong run there, dominating the Busch race in the spring, but ended up not getting the win in the end. It was still a good run. We had a good run in the Jack Daniel’s Chevy on the Cup side, as well. I like running the Truck Series. I ran the Truck race at Martinsville and had a blast running with those guys. I can't wait to do it again."

NHIS is a track that fits Bowyer's driving style. In two NBS starts, he has completed 100 percent of the possible laps and scored a top 10 in his first race at the “Magic Mile�?? in 2005. His first Cup start in July 2006 netted a 27th place finishing position but is not indicative of how well Bowyer ran. He led a total of 23 laps after starting 31st. When asked what the secret is to his success at NHIS, Bowyer replied: "I just like flat tracks. It kind of reminds me of back home racing, you know the Saturday night special. It is fun to be able to drive on short tracks like you grew up with. I just have a lot of fun racing them and am looking forward to going back."

Bowyer will have the benefit of a crew chief whose success at NHIS equals his own. Eric Phillips, full-time MDM crew chief for the No. 46 Silverado, won the NCTS event at the Loudon, N.H. oval in 2004 with driver Travis Kvapil. In 2005, he and Dennis Setzer came just .221 seconds short of capturing his second consecutive win at Loudon.

"That is big, going with a good truck and crew chief," concluded Bowyer. "Anytime you can get in good equipment, to showcase your talent, that just makes your job that much easier. I am really looking forward to working with Eric (Phillips) and his guys and hopefully having a good run up there and contend for the win."

"We are extremely pleased that Clint is going to drive for us at both New Hampshire and Texas," said Dollar. "He has proven he is a very talented driver. In Martinsville, he was competitive all day long and led over 80 laps. I think he and Eric will be a great team. Everyone in our organization is excited to have Clint in our truck. We are looking forward to a good weekend in New Hampshire and then again at Texas."

MB2 Motorsports development driver, Kraig Kinser, who has been driving the No. 46 thus far in 2006, will be back in the cockpit at Las Vegas for the September 23, 2006 NCTS event.

In 2004 and 2005, MDM fielded a variety of Chevrolet NNCS drivers in a Silverado. Bobby Labonte finished second at Atlanta Motor Speedway in March 2005 and followed that up with a win at Martinsville Speedway in April 2005. Tony Stewart scored a second and a third place finish at Dover and Richmond, respectively.

Practice for the New Hampshire 200 is scheduled to begin 10:15 a.m. EDT on Friday, September 15, 2006. Rookie practice will be held from 1:20 p.m. to 1:50 p.m. that afternoon followed by final practice for one hour beginning at 2:00 p.m. EDT. Qualifying will be held Saturday, September 16, 2006 at 9:30 a.m. EDT with the 36-truck starting field impounded until the start of the 200-lap/211.6-mile race at 2:15 p.m. EDT.

SPEED TV will broadcast all the action live beginning with the pre-race show at 1:30 p.m. EDT. MRN Radio and XM Satellite Radio will bring fans the race in its entirety over the airwaves.
