WINDOM CLAIMS KENYON TITLE;

CALEB ARMSTRONG NABS SECOND VICTORY AT ANDERSON

            Chris Windom was crowned USAC's most recent champion after Friday's 30-lap USAC Kenyon Midget Car Series race at Anderson (Ind.) Speedway.

            With a third-place finish, Windom, of Canton, Ill. came away with a 29-point finish in the series, besting Sammy Imel for the championship. Imel was eighth in the race.

            Caleb Armstrong scored his second victory of the season, holding off Kenny Biro for all 30 laps. Fast qualifier Blake Fitzpatrick and Jeff Wimmenauer were fourth and fifth.

            At age 15, Windom becomes USAC's third youngest champion. Former Kenyon champions Dakoda Armstrong was 13 and Jonathan Hendrick 14 when each claimed the series' titles.
