Brakes slow Keselowski in Richmond
Richmond, VA. – Brad Keselowski finished 38th in the Emerson Radio 250 at Richmond International Raceway on Friday.

Keselowski started in 25th after a strong qualifying effort but faulty brakes forced him to the garage for repairs about one-third of the way through the race. After the repairs were completed he returned to the track and picked up three positions.

“Brakes are so important at a place like this,” said Keselowski. “You’re on them hard all the time and ours just went. Once we got them fixed and went back out we were running great.”

The race was won by NASCAR Busch Series points leader Kevin Harvick who extended his lead over Carl Edwards to more than 600 points. The series is off this week before traveling to Dover International Raceway for the Dover 200 on Sept. 23.
